Alumina fibre blankets are high-purity, low shot content polycrystalline materials for refractory insulation applications up to 1260°C (2300°F).

This fibre blanket is composed of long, flexible, interwoven fibres manufactured by the ‘blown’ and ‘spun’ process yielding a strong, lightweight yet durable fibre blanket for applications with an upper temperature limit of 1260^oC. Refractory ceramic fibre blanket has the heat resistance of a hard refractory with five times better insulation value.
